Cost Of Getting IDO Allocation On The Most Popular Launchpads
We can observe a public sale fever in the Crypto World. Getting an allocation for basically any public sale is like winning a lottery ticket — you can be sure to get 10–100x gains within few days or weeks from listing. Most popular IDO platforms are supporting the launch of new projects every week.
Let’s take a look at the most popular platforms and the cost of getting allocation on them.

Let’s start with PolkaStarter. PolkaStarter offers two different pools: regular — available for everyone, and POLS — available only for people who meet certain requirements.
In order to have a chance for allocation in POLS pool, one has to:
- HODL 3000 $POLS. Cost = $12450.
- provide liquidity for POLS/ETH pair equal to 1 ETH. Cost = $4150.
Regular pool is available for everyone who wants to participate, but bear in mind that the chance of getting an allocation is much lower, as the cost of participating in regular pool =$0, thousands of people try to get whitelisted.

Second project I would like to cover is DAO Maker. DAO Maker offers so called SHO — Strong Holder Offerings, where HODLers the DAO token have a chance to be whitelisted — the more tokens you own, the higher chance you get during a lottery.

- 2000 $PAID — 2 lottery tickets. Cost = $600 ($4000 — before hack)
- 3000 $PAID — 3 lottery tickets. Cost = $900 ($6000 — before hack)

On negative side — spots are not guaranteed — it’s a lottery.

- Launchpool — they will offer guaranteed allocation.
